| Asati Air Structures (a.k.a "the dome") are custom designed to each customer's particular requirements. These structures have been used in a wide range of applications, from industrial to recreational, including facilities for tennis, soccer, skating, swimming, golf ranges, etc. Asati has been designing and producing these state-of-the-art structures for over 40 years, with thousands of installations world-wide.
Asati Air Structures are highly translucent and require no lighting during daytime hours. Even on overcast or snowy days, if it is bright enough outside to play or swim, it is bright enough inside the dome. From the athlete's point of view, it is the ultimate in daytime lighting. From the operator's point of view it is highly efficient and cost effective. The structures have an energy conserving thermaliner which reduces heating costs by as much as 50%. By using the newest fabrics, with Dupont's Tedlar or Asati's "Stay Clean" coatings which protect against weathering, chemicals, solvents and staining agents, and ultraviolet deterioration, the life of the bubble can be extended by an estimated 15 to 20 years, or longer. Asati's unique patented cable net harness system insures structural integrity of the entire system in all kinds of inclement weather, including high winds and heavy snowfall. The cable net harness system takes most of the stress factors away from the fabric and relates them to the cable net and then to the anchorage system, permitting the fabric to remain in a relaxed or non-stressed condition at all times. It is the only system available that is designed to meet local code requirements for wind and snow loading. As an additional safety factor, Asati provides a reliable automatic back up auxiliary system to provide for any mechanical or electrical failures that could possible occur. The system includes a DAFT Hanglitetm reflective lighting system, a gas or oil-fired thermostatically controlled heating system, a rotary personnel door, and exit doors equipped with emergency panic hardware. The structures are relatively simple and inexpensive to take down and re-erect each year. |
