Welcome
The domed year-round Community Pool is located adjacent to the outdoor Lexington City Pool on Wallace Street in Lexington (next to the skateboard park and across from Maury River Middle School). Memberships are available from Labor Day to Memorial Day, and a separate membership covers the summer period. Daily passes are also available.
The Community Pool provides a forum for multiple water-based activities including competitive swimming, lifeguard training, swim lessons, kayak roll training, aquacise, therapy, and family swim.
Swimming helps to build endurance, strength and cardio-vascular fitness. It can be a useful activity in a cross-training regime too. Other benefits of swimming include relaxation, sportsmanship, time-management, self-discipline, goal-setting, and an improved sense of well-being. It’s easy to understand why swimmers as a group tend to do better in school.
Spending time in a group workout is rewarding and keeps everyone motivated making the shared experience enjoyable.
